Where the Money Goes
Thanks for emailing that article!
Since 1978, we've invested more than $50 million to advance essential research and education programs. 84 cents of every dollar you donate funds research and patient education.
More than half of every donation goes directly to funding innovative glaucoma research. In 2014, we invested $2.5 million in scientific and clinical research.
Education & Support
Last year, we committed more than $700,000 to educating and supporting glaucoma patients. Your donation helps three million people every year get the critical glaucoma information they need.
We receive no government funding and rely on the generosity of individual, private donors to fulfill our mission. In 2014, 84 percent of every dollar raised went to fund research and education. Total fundraising expenses were $498,078. Total administrative costs $139,925. Our total investment in research and education programs was $3.2 million, with an additional $1.5 million dedictated to a permanent endowment for future research grants.
Our Strategic Plan will ensure Glaucoma Research Foundation’s continued success and accomplishment including activities to grow revenue and maintain mindful management of expenses and reserves in order to remain trusted stewards of philanthropic contributions.
