The Glaucoma Research Foundation does not sell or distribute information generated through the GRF website. All email addresses and contact information of those who communicate with us online are collected for the sole purpose of responding to specific questions and requests, or advising visitors of new online material and events. GRF is committed to preserving privacy and safeguarding credit card and other sensitive information. We do not store sensitive information such as credit card numbers. GRF information remains private and is never sold.
Security
GRF takes every precaution to protect donor information. When donors submit sensitive information such as credit card numbers via our website, their information is protected. Personal information sent via our online donation forms is encrypted and is protected with SSL, the best encryption software in the industry. While on a secure page, such as a donation form, the frame of your web browser will display a small “lock” icon.
Links to Other Websites
The GRF website contains links to other websites that provide additional resources and information related to glaucoma and eye health. On our website, links to other websites are identified when the cursor “hovers” over a link, with a message reading “This is a link to a site outside of glaucoma.org.” Please note that when you click on one of these links, you are entering another website for which GRF has no responsibility. We encourage you to read the privacy statements on all such sites as their policies may be different than ours.
